NDV offers before-school and after-school extended care programs (NDVEP) for students of all ages. The extended care program director continues to attend early childhood education classes to remain current on the needs of school-age children.

NDVEP (NDV Extended Care Program): NDVEP fulfills a major need in the NDV community by providing safe, stimulating, and affordable after-school care for many students. This program provides working parents in the greater business community and in San Francisco's financial district with the peace of mind of knowing that their children are receiving good care and enrichment after school. The activities are geared to the various age groups and include physical play, study hall, snacks, and arts and crafts.

Junior High After-School Program (JHAS): Students in this program are given the opportunity to develop leadership skills by creating fun and interesting activities for themselves and lower-grade children. They engage in activities and pursuits that are more ideally suited for their age group.
