This week, in the Kindergarten, First, Second and Second Grades, the kids had some Christmas activities along with French Christmas songs. They all made some Christmas cards for friends and/or family. Kindergarten and 1st Graders also made Christmas cards for the 8th/7th grades buddies!
Last week, the third graders read about the famous French painter Matisse and learned how he was making collages to represent his ideas. On Friday and Monday, the students experimented this technique and made their own collages, using paper, scissors and glue. Here are some of their creations.
Last week, First, second and third graders colored letters to build the words “Joyeux Noël”, “Bonne année” and “Joyeuses fêtes”. These wishes are now in Notre Dame des Victoires hallways!
My Tuesday meeting has been changed to Thursday morning. The Student Center will be open at 7:30 tomorrow morning (Dec. 12th) but not Thursday (Dec. 14th). It will also be open on Wednesday and Friday morning.
