wedding Who can get married at NDV?
Any baptized Roman Catholic may marry at Notre Dame des Victoires Church with an ordained priest or deacon to witness the Sacrament of Marriage. The consent of your pastor, along with a commitment regarding the marriage preparation process and a written commitment from the presiding priest is necessary before marriage scheduling can be finalized. A $250 non-refundable deposit must also be made to reserve the church for your ceremony.

What are the dates/times of weddings?
Weddings are on Saturdays at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.

What is the handicap access at NDV?
There is an elevator available, allowing persons in wheelchairs to enter the church from sidewalk-level.

Where do you park?
There are 3 spots available in front of the church which are available upon request. Guests should park at the Sutter-Stockton garage directly across the street. On-street parking in the area is very difficult to find.

Is there a fee/cost involved?
For those who are not part of the regular worshipping community at NDV, the fee is 1,500 dollars for the use of the church. If the services of an NDV priest are required to preside for the ceremony, a fee of 225 dollars is requested for those services.

For resident worshipping parishioners of NDV the fee is 700 dollars, with or without the participation of an NDV resident priest.

How much advance notice is required?
At least six months advance notice is required to prepare for a wedding at NDV.

Are there restrictions on decorations, like placement of flowers, aisle runners, candles, etc.?
Runners or rugs are not permitted during marriage ceremonies. Flowers are placed according to the logistics of the ceremony. It is appreciated if flowers are left for the use of the church after your ceremony is ended. Flowers and other decorations should never be affixed to the church/pews except by non-damaging, removable means.

How is the music handled? Can NDV provide musicians, or can we provide our own?
The grand pipe organ of NDV is available only when played by the NDV organist. Use of the organ is not assumed with use of the church. The organist and/or cantor must be contacted separately in order to schedule their participation in your ceremony. Scheduling of musicians is the responsibility of the wedding couple. You may provide your own music and musicians; however any and all music played or sung in conjunction with your ceremony must be within church liturgical guidelines.

When can photos be taken?
Photos are normally taken after the ceremony.

Do you have a location where we can have our reception or rehearsal dinner?
Yes, contact the rectory for further details.
